#BringIt

So by now you know I'm in a reading slump. But I am not one to sit idle while the city burns. That's right. If I'm going down, I'm going down fighting. And you know what that means...

That's right. It's on like donkey kong.

So what have I done? I took you're lovely advice that y'all left in the comments and made a master plan of attack.

Phase One: The Cold Turkey Cutoff

First off, most of you advised me to take some time off from reading. So that's what I'm doing. I've already had 3 days without reading and I actually feel a bit better, a little more relaxed. It's weird sitting in silence, doing other things because usually I have an audiobook playing, but it's also been kinda nice!

Phase Two: The Netflix Binge

Next, most of you said to do something else with my spare time, like binge on Netflix. So Netflix, here I come! I've been meaning to watch more of Jessica Jones and catch up on Reign anyway.

Phase Three: The Fluff Read

Finally, when I'm finished Netflixing, I plan on easing back into reading with a light, fluffy read or a graphic novel/comic book, like some of you suggested. I'm thinking of going with The Crown by Kiera Cass (even though I can't stand Eadlyn--but that's a different post), what do you think?

So that's it! What do y'all think of my master plan of attack? Think I can take down this reading slump?

  1. YES read The Crown! I really want to hear your opinion. It was very easy to get through but the ending really annoyed me, but I guess you can judge. Good luck!

    1. i enjoyed the crown! i'm still 50/50 on whether i want to write a review for it. it mmade me hate eadlyn a little less, but even still, i didn't feel like there was any real character development. and i thought the ending and who she chose came out of nowhere!
