TBR Thursday is a weekly meme created by Kim at Kimberlyfaye Reads in which we showcase one book on our TBR and ask if YOU (the readers of the blog) have read it and what you thought and if you think I would like it or if I should skip it.

Title: Consider
Author: Kristy Acevedo
Goodreads Summary: As if Alexandra Lucas’ anxiety disorder isn’t enough, mysterious holograms suddenly appear from the sky, heralding the end of the world. They bring an ultimatum: heed the warning and step through a portal-like vertex to safety, or stay and be destroyed by a comet they say is on a collision course with earth. How’s that for senior year stress?
The holograms, claiming to be humans from the future, bring the promise of safety. But without the ability to verify their story, Alex is forced to consider what is best for her friends, her family, and herself.
To stay or to go. A decision must be made.
With the deadline of the holograms’ prophecy fast approaching, Alex feels as though she is living on a ticking time bomb, until she discovers it is much, much worse.

This week I'm spotlighting Consider by Kristy Acevedo. I chose to focus on this book for three reasons. First off, it's a non contemporary YA featuring a protagonist with a mental illness. WHICH IS EXACTLY WHAT I'VE BEEN WANTING TO SEE IN LITERATURE!!! So I figured it's perfect for me. Second, at 4.71 stars, Consider has one of the highest Goodreads ratings I've ever seen. And it has pages of 4 and 5 star reviews, not just 2 or 3 reviews. Third, despite these facts, I haven't heard much about this book around the book blogosphere. If the book is so amazing, where is the hype??? So I'm turning it over to you guys. Have you read Consider? What did you think? Should I read it?
