My mom read to me all the time as a child and so I developed a love for reading early on and was a voracious reader all through my childhood. There were so many
1) Madeline from Madeline by Ludwig Bemelmans
What ever happened to Madeline and her roommates and Pepito? Does MAdeline go to college and rent an apartment with some of the girls?? Does she ever get together with Pepito (because obvi, they're meant to be)??? I NEED TO KNOW!!!
2) Eloise from Eloise by Kay Thompson and Hilary Knight
Did Eloise ever leave The Plaza? What happened to Nanny and all of Eloise's hotel friends? Is she still scibblinng and scrabbling and zipping and zinging and whizzing all over the building? TELL ME MORE!!!
3) Max from Where The Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak
This is one of my most dearest questions: What happened to Max after he left the wild things? Did he ever return? And what happened to the wild things?? Did they find someone else to do their wild rompus with? I really, really need to know!
4) Lyra from The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman
I think there's actually follow-up books to His Dark Materials following Lyra, but I haven't read them. But I want to know so much about how she grows up! How does she react to and recover from the events of His Dark Materials? Does she ever see Will again (because it would be sooooooo tragic if she didn't)? What is the world like after the events of His Dark Materials...I just really need to reread this series and then read the follow-ups.
5) Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling
Luna is one of my all time favorite HP characters, but we don't know much about what happens to her after the events of The Deathly Hallows. Yes, we know who she marries and that she goes on to travel the world, but I want--I need--more in depth info!
6) Miz Frizzle And Her Class from The Magic Schoolbus by Joanna Cole
Betcha didn't know that The Magic School Bus started out as a book series! Well it was and it was one of my favorites! I loved Miz Frizz and her adorkable class! I want to know what happened to them all? Is The Frizz still teaching? Did any of her students pursue science?? I must know!
7) Charlie Bone from Charlie Bone by Jenny Nimmo
I loved this series when I was in 4th, 5th, and 6th grade, but I never hear anyone talking about it! Which is a shame because it was pretty good. I want to know what Charlie and all of his talented friends (and enemies) are up to (possibly because I never got the chance to fully finish the series, but we'll ignore that fact).
8) Meggie from Inkheart by Cornelia Funke
The Inkworld trilogy was and remains one of my all time favorite series. But I felt like it ended on an open note. I want to know more about Meggie and her family and friends' adventures in the Inkworld!
9) Simon, Jared, and Mallory from The Spiderwick Chronicles by Holly Black and Tony DiTerlizzi
This is another series I never finished, but was in love with. I'd love to see Mallory, Jared, and Simon as adults. Do they still have magical adventures? Does Mallory still fence (when I was a kid, I thought it was so badass that Mallory was a fencer)?
10) Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire from A Series of Unfortunate Event by Lemony Snicket
Another unfortunately unfinished series. But I saw the movie when I was a kid and in the middle of reading the series and it scarred me so much that I stopped reading. I do want to reread and finish the series sometime before the Netflix show, though. But that's a tangent. I want to know...Are Violet, Kaus, and Sunny scarred for life? How do they go on? Do they solve all of the mysteries? Do the mysteries ever end??? I HAVE TO KNOW NOW!!!!
