This comic bindup has been on my TBR for a while and I've gotten through half of it now and holy smokes! I love it! Gotham Academy is, in my newbie opinion, a great place to start with comics if you're new to comics, like moi! It's fun and mysterious and it's more of YA comic and the art is stunning, yet also accessible! It's an all around great time!
Must Listen
Yes. My must listen this week is indeed a podcast. That's because I've been really into podcasts of late. Some of my favorites come from the fandom news site Hypable. Hypable has podcasts for every kind of fan--book fans, TV fans, movie fans, comic fans--you name it, they've got it. I'm only listing the general podcast, Hypable Hype, here because I'm feeling lazy, but I do love their other podcasts and encourage you to listen to them!
Must See
Ohmygod. How could you guys fail to tell me just how good of a show Daredevil is??? I feel so betrayed!!! But in all seriousness, this show is quickly becoming one of my favorites. If you don't know anything about Daredevil, it airs on Netflix (there are already 2 seasons up) and it's based on the Marvel comic. The show is about Matt Murdock, blind lawyer by day, secret, masked vigilante known as Daredevil or "the man without fear" by night. The show is incredible. And that's a lot for me to say, as I'm not usually big into superheroes. I'm also interested in reading the original comics for Daredevil, but have no clue where to start.
