Welcome to Hardcover Haven, a haven for any and all bookworms! I'm Lila, your guide around this particular patch of internet. I'm a twenty-something college student studying anthropology. When I'm not reading, I can usually be found singing, spending time with family and friends, and/or snuggling my two cats, Snoopy and Clementine.

Stacking The Shelves | May 28, 2016

Stacking The Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews in which we talk about the physical books/e-books/audiobooks we've acquired (bought, borrowed, or received for review, etc.). Here's what I've acquired in the past week:

Borrowed

Compared to last week's gargantuan haul, this week's haul looks kinda skimpy. But I swear that I picked up some great books--remember: quality over quantity. I picked up Jane Steele by Lindsay Faye, The Memory of Light by Francisco X. Stork, The Crown by Kiera Cass, and A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle.

Bought

It's my favorite day of the month: Audible credit day! Naturally, I bought an audiobook copy of A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas and I'm super excited for it!!! I also had a Book Outlet coupon for $5 off a $20 purchase--so my mom and I are splitting the purchase. I'm buying the Puffin in Bloom editions of Little Women by Louisa May Alcott and A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett and they are just soooooo beautiful!

Received

I nabbed a digital ARC of the graphic novel Zodiac Starforce: By The Power of Astra by Kevin Panetta and Paulina Ganucheau, which looks really cool and fun! I also received a physical copy of Sunbolt by Intisar Khanani in the mail, as I won it during Armchair BEA!

  1. I hope you like a Wrinkle in Time! It's a little weird, but all the more unique!
