Tag Time! My Life In Books

Tuesday, May 24, 2016

Guess who's back-back-back? Back again!
It's meeeeeeee!
I have a ton of tags that I've been tagged for and haven't done yet, so I figured it's time to stop procrastinating and start chipping away at it (if only I could have this kind of attitude with, oh, ya know, my homework). I was tagged by Nick at The Paper Dragon to do the My Life in Books Tag. Thanks, Nick, for passing this tag on to me!

Find a book for each of your initials.

L-The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks
H-Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone by J.K. Rowling

Count your age along your bookshelf. Which book is it?

18006496
Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas (yay! I got one of my all time fave books!)

Pick a book that represents a destination you would love to travel to.

0b88f-25203675
I'm gonna choose The Star-Touched Queen by Roshani Chokshi (even though I own it but have yet to read it) because it's inspired by Indian folklore and India is my dream vacation!

Pick a book that’s your favorite color.

17453983
Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins (the new cover) has this beautiful, rich fuchsia color that I lovelovelove!

Which book do you have the fondest memories of?

730424
Definitely the book Mama, Do You Love Me? by Barbara M. Joose! My mom read this book to me all through my childhood. After we'd read it, I'd ask her how much she loved me and she's say, "Bigger than the sky! To the moon and back 1000 times!" So this book always reminds me of my mom and how much she loves me <3

Which book did you have the most difficulty reading?

2165
The Old Man and the Sea by Ernest Hemingway. Ugh. This was required reading for 8th grade and I literally (and I'm not lying or exaggerating here) had to lock myself in my room, take away all distractions, and force myself to read this book because that's how much I hated it. *shudders just thinking about it*

Which book in your TBR pile will give you the biggest sense of accomplishment when you finish it?

10964
Probably Outlander by Diana Gabaldon because a) it's gimongous b) the font is medium-small c) it's an actual adult novel and d) the narration (I have the audiobook) is very dry and emotionless, which makes it even more daunting.

So that was the My Life in Books Tag! I hope you all enjoyed it an had fun! Tell me in the comments what book you have the fondest memories of! I can't wait to hear!

  1. I definitely have the fondest memories of Harry Potter. My mom and I read it together as a kid, it was literally like our picture books! And now both of us are obsessed with the series.
